Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Environmental Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex environmental consulting projects from proposal development through closeout. You will act as the primary client contact, mentor technical staff, and ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in line with ECS standards.

You will manage budgets, coordinate scheduling and staffing, review technical work, and drive business development across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years of related environmental consulting experience
• Bachelor's and/or Master's in Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Must obtain a local license through reciprocity within three months of hire date
• Extensive knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and consulting practices
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
• Excellent project management and budgeting skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to review and evaluate technical work produced by others

Responsibilities

• Executes environmental consulting projects from proposal to closeout
• Provides technical leadership and financial accountability across projects
• Serves as primary client contact and mentors staff
• Oversees scheduling, execution, reporting, and closeout
• Reviews project findings and communicates recommendations to clients
• Leads and mentors junior staff for professional development
• Manages budgets, profitability, invoicing, and collections
• Reviews change orders and budgeting adjustments
• Allocates staffing and resources for multiple projects
• Maintains and expands client relationships and opportunities
• Ensures projects comply with company standards and safety
• Performs senior-level reviews of deliverables before Principal review
• Leads client meetings and project discussions
• Supports leadership in staffing decisions and strategy
