Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Houston, TX is seeking an Environmental Project Consultant to lead medium-complexity environmental projects from planning through completion. You will coordinate resources, mentor staff, manage budgets, and communicate with clients and leadership to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities include supervising asbestos, lead, mold, and IAQ projects, directing remediation, overseeing subcontractors, and delivering technical reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

• 6 years of related experience in environmental consulting or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's/Master's in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field preferred
• Obtain and maintain relevant licensure/certifications
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS projects
• Strong knowledge of environmental principles and regulations
• Excellent project management and client-facing skills

Responsibilities

• Manages asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality projects
• Directs remediation and abatement activities
• Oversees subcontractors and field personnel
• Reviews daily reports and project documentation
• Conducts site visits to assess quality and progress
• Ensures regulatory compliance and certifications
• Prepares technical reports and recommendations
• Communicates progress with clients and leadership
• Manages projects from initiation to completion
• Coordinates scope, schedule, budget, and resources
• Mentors junior staff and supports team development
• Attends project meetings and resolves issues
• Maintains client communication and relationships
• Builds a client database through project and business development
• Manages budgets and financial performance
• Prepares change orders, invoices, and supports collections
• Schedules and oversees staff assigned to projects
• Prioritizes activities to meet deliverables and budget
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously
• Prepares proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and change orders

• Reviews deliverables before senior review
