Job summary

The Foth Companies is seeking a strategic Lead Environmental Scientist/Engineer to grow our environmental compliance presence in the Southeastern United States. Based in or near one of our Southeastern offices, you will lead multi-disciplinary projects for industrial clients and expand our regional footprint with high‑quality technical services.

You will mentor staff, develop proposals, manage complex regulatory projects, and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of environmental consulting with industrial clients.
Demonstrated success in client relationship management.
Experience leading complex projects and cross-functional teams.
Prior experience with environmental regulations.
Ability to operate independently and build market presence.

Responsibilities

Leverage existing relationships to uncover opportunities and expand environmental compliance services in the Southeastern U.S.
Build and maintain client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary contact.
Develop proposals, scopes of work, and pricing strategies to win projects.
Provide technical leadership for environmental compliance services in the region.
Mentor and develop staff; help build and scale a regional team over time.
Contribute to strategic planning, including market positioning and service line growth.
Lead multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through completion and manage key accounts.
Account for state regulatory nuances across southeastern states and travel as needed.
