Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Data Product Manager to own the strategy, delivery, and adoption of enterprise data products across IT and business partners. You will guide the intersection of IT leadership, analytics, data engineering, and governance to translate strategic priorities into trusted, scalable data products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in technical product management, with at least 2 years leading large cross‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and project execution skills.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Institute Product Management Certifications, or SAFe PO/PM (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle of data products including curated datasets and KPI/metric layers.
• Partner with IT leaders, analytics teams, and data engineers to translate business needs into clear product requirements and backlogs.
• Drive standardization of key metrics and definitions for consistent, decision‑ready insights across IT.
• Ensure data products meet enterprise standards for quality, security, governance, and auditability.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery from discovery through production, including release planning.
• Measure and drive adoption, usage, and value realization of data products.
• Communicate product strategy, progress, and insights to IT executive stakeholders.
• Continuously improve data product ways of working using agile and product management best practices.
