Job summary

Lightera Careers is seeking a Senior Engineering/Maintenance Manager to oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineers and maintenance staff. You will drive safety, reliability, and efficiency by coordinating process improvements and capital projects across the facility.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in engineering management, a Bachelor's in engineering, and a Master's in engineering or business. Six-sigma/Lean and SAP experience are highly desirable as you lead large-scale upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline required.
• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Master's degree in engineering or business preferred.
• Six-sigma Black Belt and Lean Certification desirable.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Strong data analysis for continuous improvement.
• Experience managing large projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Lead Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls teams and CI.
• Develop and manage budgets and 3–5 year plans.
• Coordinate equipment modifications and plant improvements.
• Define KPIs and monitor performance to meet goals.
• Collaborate with other department managers to improve workflows.
• Oversee staff development, training, and performance.
