Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leading aerospace company, is seeking a Senior Manager to drive strategic overhaul cost reduction. Based onsite in East Hartford with travel to engine centers, you will optimize maintenance processes, partner with cross-functional teams, and deliver cost-saving strategies that improve program profitability.

You will guide data-driven decisions, leverage continuous improvement tools, and influence senior leadership to balance durability, turnaround times, and cost efficiency

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, Program Management or related aerospace/aftermarket experience.
• Project management skills and experience driving change management.
• Ability to influence, drive change, and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
• Experience identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical maintenance requirements and operational processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Partner with engine center stakeholders and centralized functions to prioritize and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Provide data-based recommendations to leadership on cost management strategies.
• Use CORE continuous improvement tools to achieve cost savings across maintenance operations.
• Support decisions on material repair versus replacement while balancing turnaround time.
• Benchmark engine centers to identify best practices and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with finance to analyze cost structures and track cost-reduction performance.
• Travel quarterly to domestic engine centers to assess processes and opportunities.
• Chair quarterly reviews with operational leaders and VPs to align on initiatives.
• Own execution of a rolling action list (RAIL) of cost-reduction initiatives.
