Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a PCS Sales Manager to drive growth in Inverters/PCS for utility-scale energy storage deployments. The role partners with engineering, product, and finance teams to deliver tailored solutions and to win strategic contracts across utility and renewable sectors.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in energy storage sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex RFPs, with readiness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field; MBA or technical master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of sales experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or power systems industries.
• Strong understanding of energy systems, inverter technologies, applications, and market dynamics in utility sectors.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, including RFPs, contract negotiation, and deal closing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, legal, finance, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in utility, C&I, and renewable energy sectors.
• Manage key accounts and customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close contracts in alignment with company policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, product manager, project manager and finance teams to deliver customer-specific solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting ESS.
• Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to senior management.
• Support marketing and industry events to enhance brand visibility and lead generation.
• Ensure compliance with export controls, FEOC, and ethical standards.
