Job summary

Valero Energy in San Antonio is seeking a Scheduler for Commercial Supply & Trading. You will coordinate product movements by barge, pipeline, truck, ship or rail, ensuring correct type, quantity, and timing of loads.

You will nominate and document movements in SAP, adjust schedules to align with market conditions, and communicate with traders, refinery personnel, wholesale teams, terminal operators and logistics providers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, or related fields.
• Willing to work in-person at Valero San Antonio Headquarters.
• Ability to manage 24/7 operations including holidays as needed.
• Experience in scheduling (Crude, Products, Rail, Marine) and cost management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product movements via barge, pipeline, truck, ship, or rail to meet load/unload timing.
• Nominate, document movements in SAP, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Communicate with traders, refinery personnel, wholesale, terminal operators, and logistics operators.
• Support and back up other Schedulers and guide less experienced staff.
• Monitor inventory positions and balance market demand with available supply.
