Job summary

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is seeking a Talent & Employer Partnerships Specialist to connect workforce program participants with regional employers, expand apprenticeship models, and create work-based learning opportunities. Qualifications

• High school diploma and evidence of post-secondary studies or Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, communications, career counseling, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, employer relations, career coaching, or workforce development.
• Proven experience establishing strategic employer partnerships and supporting job placement initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive Suite products, and LMS/CRM database applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with program participants to achieve job placement, resume review, interview coaching, and career guidance.
• Build and cultivate strategic relationships with regional employers to communicate graduates' capabilities.
• Explore and establish registered apprenticeship models and work-based learning opportunities with partners.
• Highlight full-time employment opportunities for STARs candidates.
• Drive partner engagement to secure employer commitment for multi-graduate hiring and apprenticeships.
• Aim for at least 60% graduate job placement rate across cohorts and 40% 90-day retention.
