Job summary

PsiQuantum is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Business Partner to guide leadership and People teams on fair, compliant practices while protecting culture in a fast-growing startup. This role emphasizes strategic advisory, investigations, policy design, and risk mitigation within a scale-up environment.

Based in Palo Alto, you will lead complex investigations, craft scalable ER frameworks, and advise on performance management while partnering with Legal on regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of employee relations or HR investigations experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law.
• Experience in high-growth or scaling organizations.
• Excellent judgment and executive presence.
• Experience supporting global teams.

Responsibilities

• Strategic advisory with senior leaders, HRBPs, Legal and executives on sensitive ER issues.
• Lead and document complex investigations (harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct).
• Design and maintain ER policies, procedures, and frameworks; ensure compliance with laws.
• Advise on performance management, discipline, terminations, and RIF planning; coach managers.
• Provide data-driven ER insights and regular executive reporting; identify systemic risks.
