Job summary

Relay is seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional to join our London team. You will own complex ER cases end to end, advise site managers, and help keep investigations fair and thorough across our multi-site network.

You will work with leaders to reduce risk, build scalable ER processes, and travel to sortation centres 1–2 days per week to stay close to operations. If you bring strong UK employment law knowledge and calm communication, let's connect.

Qualifications

  • End-to-end ER case management across grievances, disciplinary and conduct matters.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, including early conciliation.
  • Experience in high-volume, multi-site operational environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in sensitive situations.
  • Ability to build scalable ER processes and train site managers.
  • Comfortable traveling to sortation centres 1–2 days per week.
  • Experience supporting flexible workforce arrangements (agency/contractor).

Responsibilities

  • Own complex ER cases end to end, including grievances and conduct matters.
  • Advise and coach site managers on employee relations.
  • Manage legal risk, including early conciliation and tribunal preparation.
  • Build and improve ER processes using data and themes.
  • Create a scalable ER framework across sites aligned with employment law.
  • Be highly visible on site, building trust with operatives and managers.
  • Support peak periods with proactive case-management.
