Job summary

RBC in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to support HR business partners and managers on workplace issues, manage risk, and ensure policy compliance across the organization.

You will escalate complex investigations, develop processes and tools for learning, and align practices with RBC's Blueprint while fostering cross-enterprise collaboration and change management. This role is on-site in Jersey City.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of US employment law and regulatory requirements.
• Minimum undergraduate degree; postgraduate degree and/or professional licensing (J.D.) preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong listening, understanding and responding skills.
• Critical and strategic thinking ability and translation to action.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an escalation point and subject-matter expert for Employee Relations and other HR teams.
• Effectively manage complex employee relations investigations and related processes.
• Develop tools, processes and learning programs for employees and managers to support compliance.
• Develop and maintain deep expertise in employee relations and applicable employment laws.
• Ensure employees understand RBC's Blueprint and reinforce targeted behaviors contributing to goals.
• Collaborate with enterprise-wide teams to develop better solutions and cross-enterprise mindset.
• Support change management and guide employees through transitions.
