Job summary

RBC Capital Markets LLC in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to partner with HR and managers on workplace issues, manage risk, and ensure compliance with laws and RBC’s Blueprint. You will lead complex investigations and develop tools and learning programs to support compliance and HR effectiveness.

Develop deep expertise in employment law while promoting behaviours aligned with RBC's policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of US employment law and regulatory requirements.
• Minimum undergraduate degree; postgraduate degree and/or professional licensing (J.D.) preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point and subject-matter expert for Employee Relations and other HR teams.
• Effectively managing complex employee relations investigations and related processes.
• Develop tools, processes and learning programs to support compliance and HR effectiveness.
• Develop deep expertise in employment laws, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure employees understand RBC's Blueprint and reinforce targeted behaviors.
• Collaborate with unit, department and enterprise-wide teams to develop better solutions.
• Support change and keep employees focused on business priorities.
