Job summary

RBC Capital Markets, LLC is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to support HR partners and managers on workplace issues, manage risk, and ensure policy compliance. You will work with the Global ER team to deliver reputable advice, lead investigations, and develop tools and learning programs to enhance HR effectiveness and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of US employment law and regulatory requirements.
• Undergraduate degree required; Postgraduate degree and/or J.D. preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong listening, understanding and responding skills.
• Critical and strategic thinking and translation to action.

Responsibilities

• Act as escalation point and subject-matter expert for Employee Relations and HR teams to support business priorities.
• Lead complex ER investigations and uphold related processes and procedures.
• Support initiatives by developing tools, processes and learning programs for compliance and self-serve capability.
• Develop and maintain deep expertise in ER including employment laws and regulations.
• Ensure employees understand RBC's Blueprint and reinforce targeted behaviours contributing to goals.
• Leverage cross-enterprise teams to develop better solutions and a cross-enterprise mindset.
• Support change management and help employees stay focused on business priorities.
