Duke Energy’s Emerging Technology Office seeks a Technology Development Manager to drive evaluation, demonstration, and deployment of innovative energy technologies across generation, storage, EVs, and grid optimization. The role requires coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, developing project plans, and engaging stakeholders to advance pilots and technology transfer.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science; minimum 7 years of related work experience
In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED plus 11 years of related work experience
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
Experience with technology assessment, roadmapping, and demonstrations in utility/industrial settings

Responsibilities

Monitor emerging technology trends and inform ETO strategy.
Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives and project activities across the lifecycle.
Develop test plans, coordinate milestones, and stakeholder communications.
Represent Duke Energy externally and support regulatory filings as needed
