Advantech USA is seeking a Purchasing Assistant in Milpitas, CA. This role sources materials, negotiates prices, and establishes payment terms and contracts for electronic components and packaging materials to maintain optimal inventory and production flow.

You will assess procurement needs, track product qualifications, conduct supplier evaluations, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve routine purchasing issues. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1+ year of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or material planning.
• Experience with MRP and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with computer hardware and software.

Responsabilités

• Supports sourcing, price negotiations, and initiation of payment terms and contracts for electronics and packaging materials.
• Reviews stocking levels to maintain uninterrupted production operations.
• Maintain purchasing databases with accurate costs, deviations, and revisions.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support purchasing activities and resolve issues.
• Assess product qualifications and perform supplier evaluations, monitoring quality and delivery performance.
• Assist purchasing management with corporate initiatives and projects.
