Job summary

Nexteer Automotive, a global leader in motion control technology, seeks a Strategic Commodity Buyer – Electronics in hybrid work settings to source PCBA and related components for EPS systems. Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience in sourcing PCBA and automotive supplier management (Tier 1/2) preferred.
• Familiarity with automotive electronics quality standards (AEC-Q, PPAP, APQP) and SMT processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for PCBA and electronic components used in EPS systems.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to improve cost-effectiveness and supply security.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and ensure supplier accountability.
• Manage relationships with key PCBA suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost performance.
• Monitor supplier KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and R&D to align sourcing with new product introductions.
• Support PPAP, 8D problem solving, and quality issue resolution with suppliers.
• Assist in Make vs. Buy decisions and dual sourcing to ensure continuity of supply.
