Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a Buyer to source and purchase components, driving cost competitiveness and supplier relationships from a central location. The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and supports program launches with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, preferably electronics, strong negotiation, and ERP/Microsoft Office proficiency. US-based role with clear base pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in a related field.
• 3–7 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment; electronics background desirable.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills to secure supplier terms.
• Experience sourcing products in Asia is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills communicating with all levels inside and outside the organization.

Responsibilities

• Source within commodity strategies to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Support product development through on-time sourcing.
• Negotiate best-in-class pricing and build supplier relationships.
• Manage procurement team's deliverables for select program launches.
• Coordinate procurement of raw materials, tools, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain and improve departmental procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional colleagues to resolve supply disruptions.
