Job summary

Cyient DLM Electronics Inc is seeking a Buyer in Torrington, CT to manage the full purchasing cycle for electronic components and related items, expediting materials to support production schedules and ensuring timely deliveries. The role requires strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience in purchasing processes and ERP/MRP systems.

A High School Diploma or GED is required, and ERP experience with Epicor is preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Proven experience in purchasing or supply management.
Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, supply chain management, and cost reduction techniques.

Responsibilities

Manage the full purchasing cycle including requisition review, supplier selection, and purchase order issuance.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of purchased goods.
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications within ERP and MRP systems.
Coordinate with operations to forecast demand and optimize stock levels and inventory management tools.
