Job summary

EEI, a defense electronics manufacturer, seeks an experienced Buyer to manage sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and procurement activities. You will negotiate contracts, drive cost reductions, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services essential to operations.

Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other teams to optimize procurement decisions, analyze market trends, and maintain compliance with company policies. Proficiency in ERP and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 4–6 years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a defense electronics manufacturing environment.
• Proven success negotiating contracts and supplier agreements.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate supplier bids, contracts, pricing, and terms.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, purchase orders, cost analyses, and award documentation.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing to optimize procurement decisions.
• Lead cost-reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and Aftermarket teams to support business objectives.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
