Georgia-Pacific LLC in Albion, MI is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to lead the Albion sheets facility. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will implement EHS programs, mentor production teams, and partner with front-line leadership to align with enterprise safety goals.

You will manage environmental permits and compliance, drive risk assessments, and foster a collaborative safety culture with employees and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or significant EHS leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, or military environments.
• Proven ability to lead EHS programs and mentor production teams.
• Experience with OSHA regulations, incident investigations, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide transformational leadership to achieve the EHS vision and align programs with enterprise goals.
• Prepare and manage environmental permits and EHS reports for regulatory compliance.
• Foster ownership of EHS decisions and accountability among employees.
• Develop risk assessment methods to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Maintain change management processes for evolving EHS standards.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to set EHS objectives and safety committee priorities.
• Develop training systems and conduct management reviews to improve safety.
• Engage with employees, external stakeholders, and regulators to foster collaboration.
