Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals, a segment of Apogee Enterprises, is seeking a Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) to lead the site’s EHS strategy, programs, and culture. The role partners with site leadership to reduce risk, strengthen accountability, and align with enterprise EHS priorities.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ability to influence leaders and employees, build trust, drive accountability, and support a learning-oriented safety culture.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to use EHS systems and data to identify trends and support decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic EHS roadmaps that align with business and operational objectives.
• Strong influencing and change leadership skills with the ability to drive results through others without direct authority.
• Proven ability to build credible partnerships with site leadership teams and effectively engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate EHS priorities in a way that supports operational excellence and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead site EHS strategy deployment, programs, and culture aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Develop and execute a multi-year EHS roadmap with milestones and accountability.
• Identify risks, prioritize improvements, and strengthen ownership for safety and environmental performance.
• Serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and integrate EHS into business planning.
• Coach leaders to sustain a high-performance safety culture.
• Implement and maintain site EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, State DNR, and other requirements.
• Manage site environmental programs including waste, air, water, stormwater, and hazardous materials.
• Lead incident reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Track EHS metrics and coordinate with Operations, HR, Maintenance, Quality, Corporate EHS, and Segment EHS.
