Job summary

Check Defense seeks an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage all EHS, risk, and compliance programs for a U.S. Army UAS contract.

This role focuses on safety culture, regulatory adherence, and program effectiveness across maintenance, logistics, and training operations. The ideal candidate will guide hazard analyses, incident investigations, and hazardous material management while coordinating with government representatives and site personnel to protect

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in industrial/aviation/military/government environments.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in safety and environmental programs.
• Experience with workplace inspections, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, administer, and maintain the contract EHS Program.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental, health, safety, and risk management matters.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, Army regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental regulations.
• Develop EHS goals, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, hazard awareness, and continuous improvement.
