Job summary

City of Moorpark seeks an experienced Economic Development Manager to lead business retention, growth, and attraction efforts. You will manage real estate transactions, incentives, and financing while coordinating with the Chamber and regional partners to strengthen the local economy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public/business administration, urban planning, finance, economics, or related field.
• Master's degree is desirable.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible public agency economic development experience, including two years supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead economic development programs and projects.
• Prepare and monitor development agreements and coordinate property actions.
• Supervise staff and ensure high-quality customer service.
• Oversee budgets and financial records for economic development activities.
• Coordinate with City departments, Chamber of Commerce, and regional agencies.
• Represent City at meetings and events; stay abreast of trends in economic development.
