The City of Moorpark is seeking an experienced Economic Development Manager to lead the city's economic development programs and activities under the City Manager's direction. You will oversee business retention, growth, and attraction, and coordinate with the Chamber of Commerce and regional agencies to strengthen Moorpark's economy.

You will manage development agreements, financing tools, market the city to investors, and support workforce development while delivering high-quality customer

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of increasingly responsible experience with public agency economic development programs, projects, and activities, including two years of supervisory responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, urban planning, finance, economics (Master's desirable).
• Knowledge of budgeting, real estate finance, tax increment financing, and contract administration.

• Plan, organize, implement, and lead economic development programs and projects.
• Provide staff support to City Manager and Department Head as assigned.
• Prepare development agreements and assist with property actions as assigned.
