Job summary

The City of Moorpark seeks an Economic Development Manager to lead and coordinate the city’s economic development programs, including retention, growth, and attraction efforts. You will work under direction of the City Manager to manage real estate actions, development agreements, and financing initiatives while building strong partnerships with local agencies and businesses.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of public agency economic development experience, with two years in supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in public/business administration, urban planning, finance, economics, or related field.
• CEcD or ACE certification desirable; valid California driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and lead economic development programs.
• Coordinate with City Manager, departments, and external partners.
• Oversee budgets and contracts for economic development activities.
• Engage with businesses, developers, and the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce.
