Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in municipal administration, real estate, marketing, planning, project management, or economic development.
• Experience implementing and overseeing economic development activities and projects.
• Knowledge of municipal development processes; ability to communicate effectively with staff and officials.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development initiatives and strategies, business recruitment, commercial/industrial development, and revitalization efforts.
• Implement and periodically update the Economic Development Strategic Plan.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Town Manager on housing and development projects, grants, and programs.
• Work with the Town Planner on zoning and related development initiatives.
• Redevelop underutilized parcels for business use and serve as liaison to the Economic Development Committee.
• Engage with local businesses, resident groups, and state/federal agencies; perform related duties as assigned.
