Job summary

The Tomball Economic Development Corporation seeks an experienced Assistant Director to lead economic development initiatives, work with the Executive Director, and supervise a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years related work experience required.
• Driver's License required.
• Experience in economic development, workforce development, and public-private partnerships preferred.
• Professional certification such as CEcD/MEDP/PCED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate business attraction, retention, and expansion activities.
• Evaluate projects and incentive requests; conduct economic impact analyses.
• Coordinate negotiation and administration of performance agreements and incentives.
• Oversee incentive programs, reviews, eligibility, documentation, and reimbursement.
• Assist in developing and implementing the TEDC Strategic Work Plan and budget.
• Develop workforce development initiatives with employers, education institutions, and workforce partners.
• Supervise personnel; mentor staff and promote accountability across teams.
• Provide oversight of marketing, communications, research, publications, and events.
