Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, preferably in a science center or museum setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Raiser’s Edge or similar database. Ability to create and pull reports to execute tasks.
• Operational execution: manage multiple projects with a proactive mindset.
• Strong writing and verbal skills plus cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage a detailed annual appeal plan, timeline, content, and budget with targets.
• Collaborate on marketing collateral to support annual programs.
• Synthesize and analyze data to optimize fundraising strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with Benefactor Society members ($1,500–$4,999 annually).
• Lead acquisition, renewals, and upgrades for Benefactor Society.
• Develop creative engagement strategies for key donors.
• Track trends and test new fundraising ideas for impact.
• Partner with events and major gifts teams on engagement opportunities.
• Support a robust planned giving communication strategy with leadership.
