Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Center Leader to direct the reception, delivery and control of merchandise and to optimize the distribution process.

The role oversees budgets, safety programs, inventory control, facilities, transportation, and customer service across the distribution operations. You will manage experienced professionals, implement policies, and influence cross-functional teams while communicating with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 3–5 years in management.
• Or Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2–4 years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manages experienced professionals who exercise independent discretion and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports.
• Implements policy and strategy for short-term results and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures
• Decision making is guided by strategic objectives of specialization
• Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures
• Must be able to communicates with executive leadership
• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
