Job summary

Morrison Express is seeking a senior logistics leader to oversee the domestic transportation function, drive cost reductions, and optimize routing and staffing. The role involves direct engagement with key customers, security coordination, and cross-functional alignment to meet performance goals.

Responsibilities include KPI establishment, SOP compliance, vendor relations, and mentoring a supervisor team. The position emphasizes strategic planning, workflow optimization, and robust budgeting

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in domestic transportation and/or domestic supply chain management.
• Experience with high value, Hot Shot Delivery Trucks.
• Experience coordinating escorts for high value shipments.
• Experience handling international transport (air import).
• Strong time management and multi-tasking in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Strategic oversight, long-term planning, and departmental performance.
• Workflow optimization, carrier allocation strategy, vendor relations, and technology adoption.
• Establishes KPIs, safety protocols, and SOP compliance.
• Handles macro vendor/carrier disputes, departmental budgets, and cross-functional alignment.
• Mentors and evaluates supervisors and manages team of dispatches; staffing strategy.
• Direct contact with Key Customers and escalation point for security and stakeholders.
• Monitor shipments irregularities and drive cost reductions by route optimization.
• Coordinate escorts for high value shipments and procurement with Domestic Transportation Team.
