Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the department. You will ensure safe, high-quality patient care, manage budget and staffing, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize outcomes.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and enabling a culture of excellence with strong leadership in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 7+ years of leadership experience in lieu of a degree.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced leadership roles.
• Experience in surgical services and hospital operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Surgical Services department, ensuring effective scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and stakeholders to coordinate schedules and patient flow.
• Recruits, hires, and retains qualified surgical services staff with mentorship and development.
• Monitors patient care processes and outcomes, addressing concerns and improving satisfaction.
• Drives initiatives to cultivate a positive work culture and retain top talent.
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes to stay compliant.
