Job summary

Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, seeks a strategic Director of Retail & Chains in a full-time role for the Colorado market. You will own the retail P&L, shape the market's growth strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and drive performance with national and regional retailers through data-driven decision making and executive partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods, retail sales, chain account management, or commercial leadership.
• 5+ years of experience leading customer-facing sales teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven track record of delivering profitable revenue growth, market share gains, and supplier performance objectives.
• Experience owning a business unit, P&L, or significant commercial portfolio.
• Strong understanding of three-tier beverage alcohol distribution systems.
• Experience managing strategic relationships with national, regional, and local retail customers.
• Deep understanding of syndicated data, category management, pricing strategy, promotional effectiveness, merchandising, and insights.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and executive relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and sales analytics tools.
• Ability to travel throughout the market and key customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver annual volume, revenue, profit, and share growth goals across all retail channels.
• Grow spirits, beer, wine, and non-alcohol categories through Johnson Brothers solutions.
• Develop and execute channel-specific sales, distribution, pricing, merchandising, and promotions strategies.
• Lead annual customer business reviews and supplier planning sessions.
• Ensure flawless execution of promotions, displays, assortment initiatives, pricing programs, and launches.
• Identify and resolve performance gaps related to supplier priorities and distribution.
