Job summary

Western Digital seeks a Director, Business Systems – PLM (Concept to Offer) to own the PLM technology landscape, drive strategy, and deliver scalable, secure solutions for product development and manufacturing.

The role partners with Engineering and Operations to translate requirements into robust PLM platform capabilities, with a focus on data integrity, governance, and enterprise-wide standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of enterprise IT experience with 10+ years of direct PLM platform ownership.
• Experience delivering large-scale PLM implementations, upgrades, or consolidations.
• Proven ability to lead global IT teams and influence senior business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead global IT teams responsible for PLM product management, application support, and platform administration.
• Own the enterprise PLM platform, including architecture, roadmap, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Define and execute a multi-year PLM technology roadmap and drive transformation of PLM processes.
• Architect and maintain integrations between PLM and ERP, CAD, QMS, MES, and supply chain platforms.
• Establish data governance, master data controls, and regulatory compliance for PLM data.
• Ensure PLM platforms meet security, availability, performance, and compliance requirements.
