Job summary

Western Digital is seeking a Director of Business Systems - PLM to lead the strategy, delivery, and operations of the enterprise PLM landscape in the San Jose area.

You will own PLM platforms, drive architecture and data governance, and partner with Engineering, Operations and Quality to translate requirements into scalable, secure system solutions. Expect a strong emphasis on governance, integrations, and platform excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of enterprise IT experience with 10+ years of direct PLM platform ownership.
• Expertise with Agile PLM and major PLM platforms with ERP/CAD/QMS integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead global IT teams responsible for PLM product management, application support, and platform administration.
• Own the enterprise PLM platform, including architecture, roadmap, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Define and execute a multi-year PLM technology roadmap and transformation initiatives.
• Architect and maintain integrations between PLM and ERP, CAD, QMS, MES and supply chain platforms.
• Establish data governance and governance to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
• Define global support models, SLAs, and escalation paths for reliable operations.
