Job summary

Eastern Oregon University in Oregon seeks a Director of Admissions to provide strategic leadership for undergraduate recruitment and admissions operations for first-year and transfer students, including domestic and international populations.

You will oversee recruitment strategy, admissions communications, staff supervision, enrollment forecasting, and relationship management to support institutional enrollment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. accredited college or university.
• 3–5 years of progressive management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 2 years of strong written, verbal, interpersonal and public presentation skills.
• 1 year of experience with Student Services; relevant education/experience may substitute.
• 1 year of computing systems experience; proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, EPS, and Ellucian Banner.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for undergraduate recruitment and admissions initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategic enrollment and recruitment plans aligned with university goals.
• Supervise and mentor admissions staff, including training and performance management.
• Collaborate with University Advancement on admissions marketing and communications strategies.
• Analyze enrollment data to support forecasting and decision-making.
• Represent Eastern Oregon University at high schools, colleges, and community events.
• Coordinate communications with prospective students and families across multiple channels.
• Manage admissions processes and ensure effective operations throughout the recruitment funnel.
• Support efforts to recruit a socio‑economically diverse and multicultural student body.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Affairs, IT, and Academic Affairs on enrollment initiatives.
