Job summary

Granbury ISD seeks an Executive Director of Teaching and Learning to lead and align instructional programs across the district, driving student achievement and setting clear academic priorities. The role supervises department leaders, monitors results, and partners with the Superintendent to advance the instructional vision and district goals.

The position requires a Master’s degree and Texas principal or mid-management certification, with several years of district or campus leadership

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Texas principal or mid-management certification.

Responsibilities

• Translate the Superintendent’s instructional vision into clear priorities, plans, and expectations for Teaching and Learning.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of district systems for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and intervention.
• Ensure district instructional practices align with TEKS, adopted materials, and district expectations.
• Supervise directors, monitor results, and provide executive oversight of special education and career/technical education.
