Job summary

Granbury ISD seeks a highly qualified Special Education Director to oversee district-wide SPED programs and services. The role ensures compliance with state and federal requirements while directing program evaluation and budget planning.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SPED administration, a Texas certificate, and a proven ability to lead professional development and collaborate with families and stakeholders to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in education administration or special education.
• Valid Texas administrative certificate and SPED teaching credential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state special education laws.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all district special education programs, including related services.
• Monitor student progress and ensure data informs program improvements.
• Lead staff development and training for special education personnel.
• Coordinate curriculum renewal to meet student needs and compliance.
• Coach staff and oversee evaluation of performance for continuous improvement.
• Work with families and districts to maintain open communication regarding services.
