Middlesex Health is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to lead the comprehensive surgical services line, including OR, Endoscopy, Perioperative and Postoperative Care, Ambulatory Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Cath Lab and Sterile Processing, and to oversee inpatient orthopedic/spine care.

The role reports to hospital leadership and requires transforming care delivery with safety, quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse licensed in Connecticut
• BSN and a Master's degree in a related healthcare field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Surgical Services (preferably OR nursing)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a progressive leadership role
• Strong communication, collaboration, coaching, and negotiation skills
• Proven success in leading culture transformation
• Proven experience with physician relations, strategic planning, and financial management
• Commitment to transformational leadership and the ANCC Magnet model for nursing services

Responsabilités

• Strategic focus on providing outstanding patient service and growing the surgical service line
• Develop and drive leadership and manage resources within the department
• Maintain strong physician and administration relationships while ensuring standards of care
• Develop, implement and evaluate ongoing surgical services programs to coordinate care
• Sustain a culture of safety, quality, service excellence, professionalism and teamwork aligned with the Middlesex Health mission
