Job description

The client is seeking a Director of Surgical & Orthopedic Services for a growing acute care hospital with a focus on expanding surgical and orthopedic programs. The role oversees a fast-growing service line that includes the Main OR, SPD, Endoscopy, PAT, PACU, and Pain Management, supporting increased operational capacity and continued development of surgical service lines.

The Director will lead clinical and operational management for the service line, including staffing, budget management, productivity optimization, and program development. The OR performs more than 1,100 surgeries per month and is supported by advanced robotic technology; the Director is expected to manage performance and workflow to support ongoing growth and sustain high standards of care.

Leadership responsibilities include fostering physician relationships, partnering on strategic planning, and managing a large team of more than 150 FTEs through multiple direct-report managers, supervisors, and coordinators. The role reports directly to The client’s finance leadership and will be instrumental in aligning resources, operations, and service line strategy to support continued expansion.
