Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Department of Surgery seeks an Administrative Director to lead ambulatory services strategy, planning and operations, working with clinical leaders to align departmental goals with the Medical Center's mission.

You will oversee budgets, staffing, space and equipment, drive improvements in access and patient satisfaction, and mentor a team of managers and staff. This onsite role requires extensive healthcare leadership experience and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years related work experience and 5-8 years supervisory/management experience required.
• 8-10 years experience in a clinical health care setting.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Leads long-range planning and ambulatory divisional goals and resources.
• Appoints, develops, supervises and evaluates managers in designated areas; ensures standards.
• Oversees multidisciplinary team building within ambulatory departments/services.
• Participates in hospital committees and reports on activities.
• Develops policies and procedures for department/division.
• Measures success with data from Performance Manager Reports.
• Collaborates with HR on role definition, staff recruitment and standards.
• Coordinates program development with community-based initiatives and marketing.
• Oversees salary planning and confidential personnel considerations.
• Identifies and acts on issues affecting patient care.
