Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a Director of Security for a premier mixed-use property in Dallas. You will provide strategic leadership and hands-on oversight of safety, security, and risk management programs serving guests, residents, tenants, and visitors.

The role collaborates across hotel leadership, property management, tenants, and public safety agencies to advance proactive security and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, residential, or comparable security operations.
• Experience leading investigations, emergency management, compliance programs, vendor management, and multi-stakeholder operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, fire and life safety standards, access control, key control, physical security systems, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead during emergencies and high-pressure situations; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and security operations across the mixed-use property with hands-on leadership.
• Develop goals, standards, service expectations, and performance metrics aligned with Hyatt values.
• Collaborate with management to ensure execution of priorities and operational excellence.
• Lead investigations, emergency response, and risk mitigation for incidents and complex events.
• Advise executives and tenants on security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and agencies during major incidents.
• Oversee compliance training, records, audits, and credentialing programs.
• Manage vendor relationships and security technologies across the property.
