Job summary

Xanterra invites a visionary Director of Risk to guide safety, security, and risk programs for Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel. The role influences culture and strategic decision-making across this iconic destination, shaping policies and operational resilience.

The Director will oversee risk, safety and security initiatives, partner with the Corporate Director of Risk Management, and lead teams to implement action plans, training, and performance tracking.

Qualifications

• At least three years of risk and/or security experience.
• At least two years of management experience.
• Valid/clear Arizona Driver’s License required and comply with vehicle policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety programs across Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel properties.
• Manage liability, auto and workers’ compensation claims per company protocols.
• Lead incident assessment to reduce exposure and loss.
• Develop and administer the annual department financial plan and support P&L.
• Coordinate with Corporate Director of Risk Management and ensure training and policy compliance.
