Job summary

The Dupps Company, headquartered in Germantown, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to lead our purchasing strategy and daily procurement operations across all locations.

You will oversee strategic sourcing, supplier and contract management, cost control, material availability, and purchasing systems while guiding a team of buyers and collaborating with Logistics, Accounting, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Seven+ years in purchasing/procurement/supply chain/strategic sourcing.
• Three+ years of purchasing or supply-chain leadership experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial/engineered-to-order environments preferred.
• Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracts, cost-reduction, and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals; support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning; report KPIs.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, cost-reduction, and value-engineering initiatives; analyze spend and market data.
• Identify and manage suppliers; negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, payment terms, and renewals.
• Build and manage supplier relationships; drive collaboration and resolve performance issues.
• Oversee daily purchasing activities; maintain policies, approvals, and internal controls.
