Job summary

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of progressively responsible planning/building experience with management.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, building safety, and development functions for Roanoke.
• Oversee regulatory and policy oversight with adherence to adopted plans.
• Manage department budget and leadership of ~36 employees.
• Engage with City leadership, boards, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure timely, transparent service delivery in permitting and review.
