Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• At least three years of progressively responsible experience in payroll, accounting, or related financial function.
• Preferred: five years of related experience including supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily Payroll Department operations and supervise Payroll staff.
• Establish payroll calendars, processing procedures, review protocols, and service expectations.
• Oversee payroll-related reporting, tax filings, and reconciliations with internal controls.
• Coordinate with HR, Benefits, Budget, Accounting, campuses, and departments to ensure accurate payroll.
• Lead, coach, and develop staff to meet recurring payroll deadlines.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
