Job summary

MedFlight/MedCare in Columbus, OH seeks a Director of Logistics to lead the organization’s logistics, fleet, facilities, maintenance, purchasing, and equipment operations.

You will shape departmental strategy, ensure compliance, drive efficiency, and mentor staff while partnering with senior leaders to align resources with our mission and service quality. This role requires strong leadership and financial acumen, with a focus on safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in healthcare, business, or related field.
• Ohio EMT/AEMT/Paramedic certification preferred with 5 years pre-hospital experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience preferred with strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial, administrative, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and build cross-functional relationships.
• Commitment to obtaining CMTE credentials within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of logistics, fleet, facilities, maintenance, inventory, purchasing, equipment, and logistics operations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team with accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with senior leaders to set priorities and optimize resources.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to improve efficiency, cost control, and asset utilization.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and maintenance of vehicles, facilities, and equipment.
• Manage purchasing processes, stock levels, vendor relations, and loss prevention.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology, and services.
