Job summary

Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce seeks an experienced Director of Finance, Human Resources & Technology to oversee financial operations, HR, office administration, and technology needs.

This executive-level, full-time role reports to the President & CEO. The ideal candidate balances strategic thinking with operational excellence, leads staff, and collaborates with stakeholders to align operations with strategic goals. Salary ranges between $85,000 and $95,000 with substantial benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field and at least three years of relevant experience, or 10 years of equivalent, relevant work experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and group communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Broad knowledge of technology and experience with network administration.
• Experience working with volunteers in a nonprofit environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with annual budgeting, financial reporting, and contract management.
• Prepare internal financial reports and support sound financial decision-making.
• Work with the Treasurer and outside consultants to coordinate annual audits and tax filings.
• Oversee the Chamber's human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee evaluations, and employee relations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.
• Review and update the employee handbook to support compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
• Administer employee benefits, payroll-related matters, vacation and sick leave tracking, and wage and salary administration.
• Serve as trustee of the Chamber's 401(k) retirement plan.
• Coordinate required reporting for government and insurance agencies.
• Supervise staff and coordinate technology-related services, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Manage the Chamber's technology infrastructure and network administration.
• Oversee office space and administrative operations.
