Job summary

Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation in Phoenix, AZ seeks a strategic VP of Finance, Treasury & Operations to partner with the President & CEO and lead finance, HR, and operations.

This role directs budgeting, cash flow, treasury, audits, internal controls, and compliance for both the Chamber and the Foundation, while shaping growth, talent strategy, and scalable systems to advance regional prosperity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
• Seven or more years of senior-level finance/operations leadership experience.
• GAAP knowledge, internal controls, compliance, and HR practices in a mission-driven organization.
• Experience with both 501(c)(6) and 501(c)(3) organizations is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic financial and operational advisor to the President & CEO and senior leadership team.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and multi-year financial strategy.
• Oversee treasury operations, liquidity forecasting, banking relationships, working capital, funds transfers, and intercompany funding.
• Provide clear financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Lead the annual audit and manage relationships with external auditors and outsourced accounting partners.
• Ensure financial systems and reporting meet the accounting requirements of both 501(c)(6) and 501(c)(3) organizations.
• Partner with revenue-generating departments to support growth, new initiatives, and long-term sustainability.
• Lead the human resources function, including culture, performance management, compliance, and alignment of talent strategy with organizational priorities.
• Manage and develop staff and external accounting/HR partners.
• Create and improve operational systems to respond to changing needs.
• Represent the Chamber at programs and events and build relationships with members and community partners.
