Job summary

Greater Phoenix Chamber is seeking a Vice President of Finance, Treasury & Operations to join its senior leadership and guide financial and operational performance in a dynamic regional organization.

The role reports to the President & CEO and advances strategy, growth initiatives, and governance across both the Chamber and Foundation, with a focus on financial controls, talent, and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; MBA, CPA, or related advanced degree highly preferred.
• Seven or more years of progressive senior-level finance and/or operations leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and operational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial and operational advisor to the President & CEO and senior leadership team.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and multi-year financial strategy aligned with growth and impact goals.
• Oversee treasury operations, liquidity forecasting, banking relationships, working capital, funds transfers, and intercompany funding.
• Provide clear financial analysis and insights that help leadership make informed strategic decisions.
• Serve as financial liaison to the Boards of Directors and Board committees, presenting critical financial matters clearly and effectively.
• Strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and organizational processes across both entities.
• Lead the annual audit and manage relationships with external auditors and outsourced accounting partners.
• Ensure financial systems and reporting meet the accounting requirements of both 501(c)(6) and 501(c)(3) organizations.
• Partner with revenue-generating departments to support growth, new initiatives, and long-term organizational sustainability.
• Lead the human resources function, including culture, performance management, compliance, and alignment of talent strategy with organizational priorities.
• Manage and develop the Staff Accountant and Director of Talent while overseeing key external accounting and HR partners.
• Create and improve operational systems that help the organization respond effectively to changing needs.
• Represent the Chamber at programs and events and build relationships with members and community partners.
